Queer Quagmire (Ugly, Ugly we go to the darkside…..?)

queer_804

A significant indicator of how the law, public opinion, elections, free speech, black listing, hate speech, intolerance, culture and frustrations have congealed into everything the Left pontificates against….abuse. The Gay’s believe they have right on their side regardless of elections, laws, public opinion. They are using their force to punish others, to bring retribution in the most blatant and ugly manner because…why…they think their side is right and deserving…therefore, they can ignore laws, civility, elections, political correctness. The Gay’s are squandering respectability and acceptance by behaving this way. Throw in violence, intimidation and group think hysteria….what is this nation headed towards?

How do we get so polarized? What mechanism(s) create this us against them attitude? There is a sense of frustration, hopelessness and an ability to set aside the law, reason and civility. It is instructive that those most given to this behavior come from the Left. Yes, the Right has their whack jobs, but note the quickness with which the Leftist Wingnuts gather and take away freedom. Makes me equally frustrated and it makes one feel that force is the only option against such oppressive forces. Now, where is that going to get us as a nation? But the queer folks don’t care do they?

And there remains a distinct contingent of same-sex marriage supporters who are adamant about retribution. One is Chad Griffin, a political advisor to Hollywood executives who says, “A dollar to the yes campaign is a dollar in support of bigotry, homophobia and discrimination. There are going to be consequences. Any individual who has held homophobic views and who has gone public by writing a check, you can expect to be publicly judged. Many can expect to pay a price for a long time to come.”

Victor Davis Hanson (Clarity, Balance, Reason….Refreshing)

May I just say whether I am listening to this man on Hugh Hewitt or reading his work, I am always impressed with his wisdom and the depth of his remarks. I have posted a link here, so please read it while taking in the breadth of his comments. Very refreshing to me, because it offers stability to the dialogue. I need that about now.

There is now no journalism as we knew it. It died during the campaign. And so we have no mainstream media audit of politics other than the vestigial shrill warnings about the last three months of the dangerous Bush administration. From the New York Times, NPR, PBS, or Newsweek, we will hear little whether Obama is choosing a good or bad team, or said silly things or contradicts what he promised. They simply have lost all credibility and now the republic is left largely with bloggers, talk radio, and a few newspapers….

I am still baffled about the exact role of race in the past election and the new Obama Presidency. Like everyone, I am pleased to see that race has been proven to be no bar to the highest office. But is the real triumph simply that the first African-American is a man of the Left? Few cared about the path-breaking career of Clarence Thomas other than to demonize him. Harry Belafonte called the first African-American Secretary of State “a house slave.” No one really praised Sec. Rice’s unprecedented career. She, unlike Obama, was an African-American with a long familial history of racial struggle; Obama in contrast is half-white, and the son of an African national and did not grow up with the vestigial racism in the South. His success is remarkable, but why did other landmark careers go unnoticed? The answer seems to be not race per se, or being African-American even (given that Obama is of half African ancestry)—but that apparently someone of mixed racial ancestry was elected President from the Left (accomplishing what no other northern liberal Senator had done since JFK). That is all I can come up with. Had Colin Powell run and won in 1996, defeating Clinton, Inc., I don’t think he would have enjoyed anything akin to the present worship.

Housing prices for young people in states like California are suddenly affordable for the first time in decades. The war in Iraq is less dangerous for Americans than are neighborhoods in our major cities. Not all is doom and gloom as we read. Capitalism is no more dead than it was supposedly in 1980, 1991 or 2001. The world is less dangerous now than in 1979. There was a reason we were not attacked in the seven years after 9/11—though it will take a decade from now for most to fathom why.

So the closing of Guantánamo, repeal of the Bush anti-terrorism legislation, rapid withdrawal from Iraq (though we are already past Obama’s original target date of March 2008 for withdrawal of all combat troops), cessation of pressure to democratize and the end of hectoring against Arab authoritarianism, soothing rhetoric from a new Chief Executive, renewed diplomatic reaching out to Teheran and Damascus, more even-handed approach to the Israeli-Palestinian problem, and rejection of the notion we are in some sort of war, much less one of a “global” nature, should ensure greater American popularity, win-over our critics, defuse tensions with Iran and Syria, and ensure another seven years of safety from a major terrorist attack at home.

So come late January and beyond we shall see, and we all should genuinely wish the Obama administration well in their promised radical departure from the past, since the stakes are high for us all.

Stop the Left

Stop the Left

A video that has been around from march in NY on September 21, 2008. Watch it all and consider the double standards of the MSm and their manufacturing hate from Republican voters versus this spectacle. These are the tolerant ones. No one should witness this from either side and not be ashamed of where we are headed. This intoleance and manipulation of the public perceptions is worrisome. No comments from the Left’s prop arm the MSm on this but oh my one fictitious voter allegedly making threats to Obama…oh my. A national guilt laden angst pours forth from the media…..but this…nada, nunca, cero! Elitist intolerance. Enclaves of Group Think on display. These are you diligent neighborhood watch types that will report you for inappropriate conduct and watch from there parted curtains as you are escorted in for……………………

“Biden Looked More Human” Liberal Male Empathy

We know that Liberals are an enormously feelings based, angst based entity. It is not surprising that John Harris, an unbiased, my ass, observer decided Biden was more human. That is the Liberal male equivalent of “Geez, Joe just had his ass handed to him by Palin. Look how emotional, drained, tired and well human he is.” Palin, the ass kicker, of course does not engender such empathy from the hand wringing Liberal male. Yes, Joe was human…befuddled as his heart burn rose and with the full knowledge that prior to going out on stage, he looked in the mirror and thought ”what’s up with my overly smooth forehead”  Was that a putty job, Botox, tape, or a swollen head? Human…peeshaw! He did ok…all he had to do was do ok and hope she, Palin, imploded…she didn’t…she was more human, personable and she won. His substantive points were for the most part contestable talking points. Let McCain answer these allegations Tuesday. The pressure is on him now to once and for all answer this drivel and separate himself as much as possible from GW.

”One candidate for Biggest Biden Spinner on Thursday night was John F. Harris, the editor-in-chief of Politico.com and a former political reporter for The Washington Post. In Jim Lehrer’s half-hour of post-debate analysis on PBS, Harris declared that “just as a neutral observer,” it was obvious: on “whose answers were more substantive, who was more detailed, who responded to the question that was asked, there’s really no reason to assert a false equivalence — Senator Biden won this debate.” Historian Michael Beschloss agreed they weren’t equals, and insisted Biden “was a lot more human.”

Dick Chaney & Haliburton (Apparently, The Left’s New Math is harder to calculate)

Obama Supporter

Obama Supporter

“I too think that Democrats are fascists in drag for their single defining characteristic is the will to power without accountability. The glory of power without the responsibility. Nothing matters but power and they all understand that, and that’s why they are servile to ones worse than they are, knowing, as does any school child, that when the bully gets weak, or the lion gets old, a younger stronger one will topple him.

Rule of law means nothing except as a way to control people. You’ll notice the selective enforcement and the double standard. Nothing matters but power. Nothing. There is no honor, only the will to power.”

Commissar Theocritus   http://thepeoplescube.com/red/viewtopic.php?t=860

It became an oft repeated allegation from the Left that Cheney was the evil force causing the Imperialist forces to hop from Afghanistan to Iraq or oil. Haliburton was to gain economic favor with this grab and Cheney was their stooge or chief agent. Hmmm? That dynamic was so easily absorbed by the Left. I don’t recall too many specifics to create that allegation. Not any lengthy relationships. No current explanations to demonstrate Haliburton and Cheney running amok in Iraq now. It must be pretty well established by now and easily demonstrable?

Like as easy as Obama and ACORN, Jim Johnson, Franklin Raines, Fannie Mae $$$, Black Liberation Theology, on and on and on…back and back…seems the connect the dots capabilities of the Left has waned. Too busy worrying about Moose, Troopergate, Condoms, Beauty Pagents, JBS. Nope, the Left are hypocrites. Yes, Cheney and Halibuton seems pretty vague and weak now. For those that need the usual connect the dots re Cheney here you go: http://rightweb.irc-online.org/profile/1072.html. If this math suits you, then I am sure the Obamination New Math will suit you as well….or is it all relative?

Evil Cheney + Mysterious Haliburton interests=Bad juju.  Obama + Leftists, Radicals, Communists, Corruption and Greedy Administrators=HOPE & CHANGE.

Please, dredge up some old talking points re Cheney while ignoring The New Math: Obamination Math.

Palin Not Qualified To Lead…Lacks Accomplishments

I was initially pleased McCain picked Palin, however upon further reflection, I notice some shortfalls in her leadership accomplishments-portfolio. Yes, yes I have read all about her stint as a Mayor and of course as a Governor. But I see the following shortfalls:

No Ivy League Education, No Communist Franklin Davis, No Black Nationalist, Dr. Khalid Abdullah Tariq al-Mansour, No Emil Jones of the Chicago Machine to pad her legislative career and bona fides, No Percy Sutton to tweak her way into Harvard Law, No involvement as a Community Organizer in the corrupt ACORN, No Terrorist William Ayers to pick her as a CEO for the CAC (Chicago Annenberg Challenge), No experience in dishing out $100+ million to radical BS, No Reverend Wright to immerse her in Black Liberation Theology, No Criminal Tony Rezko, and, of course, she has never held the title of Junior Senator of Illinois. She is not black so the race card cannot be pulled out by surrogates. She is a female, but that is now a crime of sorts to the feminists. She does not use a teleprompter with the ease of Barack, she actually doesn’t need one, and she is just not as gifted in the Appearance Over Substance methodology yet.

So, if you look at her lack of the above skill sets and the facts that she was a beauty queen, only went to college in Idaho, is vampy sexy despite herself, knows how to stand up to obnoxious men, is tough, knows how to shoot and could feed her family, and is genuine to a fault with the MSm, then you begin to see a picture of her weaknesses.

I am not certain how she will measure up against the train rider, Lunch Pail Joe. We know he will look spiffy in his suit, perfect tie, distinguished grey hair. He will bluster and challenge. Sarah Palin may not come off very well against the gaffe master. We know he has the grasp of history and his ability to command paralyzed people to stand will be a powerful advantage. I cannot see her measuring up to the great leadership skills of Jimmy Carter, John Edwards, John Kerry, Albert Gore. Now really, the breadth of wisdom in that bunch is staggering. It is all pretty gloomy.

This reminds me of a card (female to female Bday Card) I recently saw..”A friend is someone who will help you move. A real friend is someone who will help you move a body. Happy Birthday, To My Really Good Friend” Ha! Funny. Barack Obama has some real good friends; Sarah Palin doesn’t.

My son tells me there is a male version to the above card: “A friend is someone who bails you out of jail. A best friend is someone who is in jail with you.” Given the lack of integrity amongst Obama’s associates, I wonder how that would play out…course they would never have to worry.

‘You forgot one.’

“She hasn’t spent nearly enough time actively working to keep partial birth abortions in practice. You’d think that if you really wanted to be President or Vice President you would pad your resume with some time defending a woman’s right to kill the human inside of her.”

Barstool Economics (Lessons on Dependence & Taxation)

Suppose that every day, ten men go out for beer and the bill for all ten comes to $100. If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this:

The first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing.
The fifth would pay $1.
The sixth would pay $3.
The seventh would pay $7.
The eighth would pay $12.
The ninth would pay $18.
The tenth man (the richest) would pay $59.

So, that’s what they decided to do. The ten men drank in the bar every day and seemed quite happy with the arrangement, until one day, the owner threw them a curve.
“Since you are all such good customers”, he said, “I’m going to reduce the cost of your daily beer by $20″. Drinks for the ten now cost just $80.
The group still wanted to pay their bill the way we pay our taxes so the first four men were unaffected. They would still drink for free. But what about the other six men – the paying customers? How could they divide the $20 windfall so that everyone would get his “fair share?”
They realized that $20 divided by six is $3.33. But if they subtracted that from everybody’s share, then the fifth man and the sixth man would each end up being paid to drink his beer. So, the bar owner suggested that it would be fair to reduce each man’s bill by roughly the same amount, and he proceeded to work out the amounts each should pay.

And so:
The fifth man, like the first four, now paid nothing (100% savings).
The sixth now paid $2 instead of $3 (33%savings).
The seventh now pay $5 instead of $7 (28%savings).
The eighth now paid $9 instead of $12 (25% savings).
The ninth now paid $14 instead of $18 (22% savings).
The tenth now paid $49 instead of $59 (16% savings).

Each of the six was better off than before. And the first four continued to drink for free. But once outside the restaurant, the men began to compare their savings.
“I only got a dollar out of the $20,” declared the sixth man. He pointed to the tenth man, “but he got $10!”
“Yeah, that’s right,” exclaimed the fifth man. “I only saved a dollar, too. It’s unfair that he got ten times more than I!”
“That’s true!!” shouted the seventh man. “Why should he get $10 back when I got only two? The wealthy get all the breaks!”
“Wait a minute,” yelled the first four men in unison. “We didn’t get anything at all. The system exploits the poor!”
The nine men surrounded the tenth and beat him up.
The next night the tenth man didn’t show up for drinks, so the nine sat down and had beers without him. But when it came time to pay the bill, they discovered something important. They didn’t have enough money between all of them for even half of the bill!

And that, boys and girls, journalists and college professors, is how our tax system works. The people who pay the highest taxes get the most benefit from a tax reduction. Tax them too much, attack them for being wealthy, and they just may not show up anymore. In fact, they might start drinking overseas where the atmosphere is somewhat friendlier.
David R. Kamerschen, Ph.D.
Professor of Economics, University of Georgia

This is of course a light hearted way to poke fun at “the system”, but still yet an interesting look at the North American tax system. It also observes how we can sometimes get caught up in our own worlds such that we lose sight of the forest through the trees.

Obama Replaces Biden as VP? Too desparate, Biden falls ill? Geeez

Is this just wishful thinking on Obama advisors? I don’t think this would leak out. Just wishful thinking for the supposed dream team, but really as much as I don’t care one damn hoot for Hillary…she exudes more confidence to me than Obama or Joe Blow does. Obama is just an Elmer Gantry. Biden is in over his head.

“The rumor mill is churning fiercely at this hour that the Barack Obama camp is so desperate and afraid of the Palin factor that they are in fact planning to come up with some faux illness for Joe “the bigot” Biden so that Obama can then make Hillary his VP.”
