Happy Mother’s Day & Life’s Conundrum

First, bless them and cherish them. Do not taken them for granted. Do not treat them as chattel or servants nor demean them in front of son and daughters.  The mother is an amazing woman. Nothing, not even fatherhood, is quite like the essence of a good mother.

————————-

And, then this birth thing and when life begins. An intrusive question for a woman’s right to choose not to be a mother.

“What’s most interesting about this story, and others around the internet that are reporting on it, is that the fetus is constantly and interchangeably referred to as “child”, or “baby”, or even as “patient”. But under Canadian law, or lack thereof, a human being is not a child, a baby, or a patient, until it is born and outside of the womb alive. This creates a rather strange paradox between our medical ability to treat a human baby in utero, and the legal black hole that does not grant any acknowledgment of the life….”

A gal gets knocked up. The ‘fetus’, the ‘baby’ is currently inconvenient for the gal, for the guy. Seriously, is there really more? All this right to choose and the like is nothing more than the right to choose self over another life. Selfish death…an inconvenient truth. Many of us have been there. We turn away now. The truth is still there. Did you call your Mom today? Did you see her? Did you go late last night or early this morning to sort through the rummaged over cards? Did you write some half assed words to the woman who gave you life? For good or not so good, she gave you life and raised you for what purpose? Condoning cheap death?

Obama (‘Same old tired concepts’….Regressives Drunk on Aniticipation)

Same old tired Regressives

Same old tired Regressives

The pompous one, O stood in Williamsport, PA yesterday and said something to the effect, ‘Repubicans if you come to the table, don’t bring the same old tired ideas that got us into this mess to start with.’  Further, he layed the bailout mess back on Bush…so, two things are at play: the same old tired ideas he fears and denigrates were obviously ignored by Bush and his big spending RINO cohorts and the revisionist historians are getting away with what and whom created the mess back in the early 90’s. No mention of Clinton, Dodd or Frank now. Oh yes, Bush et al did not do enough to call BS on Fannie Mae et al. But, the same morons that are now plunging us into chaos are the same ones that fed oxygen to the Fannie Mae fire that consumed our freedoms while Bush slept. Oh, talk about same old tired BS…the abortion issue is back with condoned death worldwide. Bailout, unemployment and no comment for the live babies in garbage bags. Can’t be bothered…same old stuff.

‘Eighteen and pregnant, Sycloria Williams went to an abortion clinic outside Miami and paid $1,200 for Dr. Pierre Jean-Jacque Renelique to terminate her 23-week pregnancy.

Three days later, she sat in a reclining chair, medicated to dilate her cervix and otherwise get her ready for the procedure.

Only Renelique didn’t arrive in time. According to Williams and the Florida Department of Health, she went into labor and delivered a live baby girl.’

What Williams and the Health Department say happened next has shocked people on both sides of the abortion debate: One of the clinic’s owners, who has no medical license, cut the infant’s umbilical cord. Williams says the woman placed the baby in a plastic biohazard bag and threw it out.

Police recovered the decomposing remains in a cardboard box a week later after getting anonymous tips.

Obama tried denying that this practice occurs in order to suck up to the abortion industry and help them avoid responsibility for killing live infants.  Jill Stanek had already testified that she personally had witnessed this practice as a nurse at Christ Hospital in Chicago, which was affiliated with Obama’s own church, Trinity United Church of Christ.  The Illinois legislature heard further testimony that as many as 40% of late-term abortions resulted in a live birth, whom staff would abandon until death rather than provide the necessary medical care to save the infants’ lives.

Obama & Abortion (Unintended Consequences of Freedom of Choice Act) Oh, Abortion Gift Cards in the Spirit of Taking Life

Obama’s Pro-Abortion Fanaticism Could Close One Third of Hospitals

http://rightwingnews.com/#post13624

Controlling access to healthcare is key to controlling the population — thus the Democrats’ avid interest in socializing medicine. Christianity is hated by liberals because it provides a moral basis for resistance. Driving Christians out of healthcare would obviously advance the liberal agenda. If the closures cause a crisis, so much the better. As the economy has been proving so graphically lately, every crisis is an opportunity for statists to push us closer to socialism.

Planned Parenthood, which in past years has promoted a “Choice on Earth” abortion campaign during the Christmas season, has a new outreach, offering Christmas gift certificates to be used for abortions.

Obama v. Imperial Bush? (Exec Orders to be Revoked…By Another Imperialist?)

screaming-eagleObama undoing all that terrible Bush-Cheney Imperialism. Review the Exec Orders at the attached link and if Obama is looking at overturning some 100-200 EO’s, then we should review those and keep track of the apparent philosophical intent of those revocations. Wish W would have been signing EO’s to protect Western Salmon, Trout, Steelhead habitat as well as his Striped Bass-Red Fish EO (personal issue). I noticed one in particular, that I will track:

http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2008/01/20080129-5.html: Executive Order: Protecting American Taxpayers From Government Spending on Wasteful Earmarks

http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/orders/

‘Obama to target Bush executive orders in first days’

Barack Obama wants to find ways to make his mark quickly in the opening days of his presidency and reverse the legacy of George W. Bush.  Obama will focus his efforts on the list of executive orders that shaped White House policy, reversing them quickly.  That does not require legislative approval, but it could bring the most contentious issues to the forefront immediately and create more polarization than post-partisanship…

These aren’t exactly low-hanging fruit, nor are they the acts of someone who professed to find middle ground between pro-life and pro-choice groups.  These are the acts of a pro-abortion absolutist, and they presage the sponsorship of Planned Parenthood’s Freedom of Choice Act.  So much for governing from the center.

Powell & Obama (Race, Abortion, & done with Neo’s)

Whoopy!

Whoopy!

Simply put, Powell played the Race option and was blunt, he does not want more Conservative justices picked for the SCOTUS. What a nice luxury, that race preference. I should just state that: I want a white, female VP. I want a white President. (Of course, race shouldn’t have a damn thing to do with it…but, I guess, hopefully, this first time it will be understandable and the future exception). I want justices that are not Leftists and further I want that damn court locked down for the rest of my lifetime. Course, my impact is less than the old waffler, Colin Powell and I imagine he had enough of the Republicans and GW’s cadre of Neos mucking everything up. So, great, but frankly it is a black touting a black and protecting his pro-abortion, affirmative action beliefs. And, calling the Obama-Ayers Leftist alliances inconsequential to the election is pathetically weak. Every nuance of those relationships is critical to the roadmap Obama has in his glovebox. It says everything for where we are headed if he is elected. Not just his decisions or beliefs, but a fully empowered Regressive Congress and Leftist appointments to the Supreme Court will ensure the CHANGE the Radicals & Liberals crave. Voting against Republicans is no reason to vote for another Jimmy Carter and to give power to the lowest approved Congress in history.

Just another Wesley Clark. Who cares? Go into oblivion Colin.

“Powell then goes on to pooh-pooh Obama’s longtime “limited relationship” with Weather Underground terrorist Bill Ayers as an “issue that is not central” to the campaign — just as evidence of the closeness of these two very chummy “neighbors” mounts.

Judgment, schmudgment, eh, Secretary Powell?

Finally, we arrive at the real reason Powell is endorsing Obama: The party, he complains, has become too “narrow” for his tastes. Pro-abortion Powell can’t stand the thought of two more Republican Supreme Court appointments. He thinks Sarah Palin is too conservative. He shares the Obama view of our base as racist and non-inclusive — but has nothing to say about the rabid pack of America-damning preachers who helped make Obama the “transformational” figure Powell has placed his faith in.”

PETA has a point (thugs are thugs, in a processing plant or a jail)

OK, there is much about PETA that appears absurd or unreasonable. But, if there is a point to be recognized then there is. I am attaching a link re a pig processing plant and the abuse the pigs take. I am not naive or against meat consumption. I am, however, against abuse or un’ethical’ treatment of any creature or human that is in the care or custody of another. As you watch this link, consider the ignorant behavior of the workers and envision the same behavior at a jail or prison or holding cell. It is the same abuse of power. There are fine lines of reality here. I am not a PETA supporter, but they have a point here and whether you support the vegan life or not, ethical is ethical:  http://www.petatv.com/tvpopup/video.asp?video=iowa_sow_farm_investigation_9-08_web_edit_peta&Player=wm      (Don’t let sub-teens watch this)

Now, an interesting argument presents itself: more ethical killing of pigs v. infanticide. No killing of God’s creatures or Natures creatures v. infanticide. Do PETA supporters support abortion? The right to choose meat and the right to choose infanticide? Or, no meat and no infanticide?

Life & Death (Provocative Paglia Raises Questions beyond Abortion~pay heed to State decreed death)

The debate is usually anchored around abortion and the closely defined sides. Camille Paglia opens up the brain to the options beyond abortion and makes you think about designer death. Police, soldiers, suicide, death penalty, death camps, genocide, infanticide, assisted death or someone at a nursing home or hospital having the authority to say Adios Thelma. Many thoughts to consider about death. Makes one feel uneasy, but these questions are already being raised and legislated in other parts of the world.

http://www.lifesitenews.com/ldn/2008/sep/08091204.html

I have always frankly admitted that abortion is murder, the extermination of the powerless by the powerful,” she said.

Paglia then admitted that in order to rationalize and accept abortion, one would have to not only accept, but logically condone other atrocities against life – that is, one would have to accept murder for the sake of protecting a particular, more important “right”, as she does. The author criticizes those on the social left who parrot the scientifically untenable position that the fetus is just a “lump of tissue”, saying that those who do so are simply afraid to face the consequences of their pro-abortion position.

“Liberals for the most part have shrunk from facing the ethical consequences of their embrace of abortion, which results in the annihilation of concrete individuals and not just clumps of insensate tissue,” explained Paglia. “The gigantic, instantaneous coast-to-coast rage directed at Sarah Palin when she was identified as pro-life was, I submit, a psychological response by loyal liberals who on some level do not want to open themselves to deep questioning about abortion and its human consequences.”

Paglia also criticized some on the social left for their logical inconsistency in condoning the killing of the innocent, but not of the guilty. “I have never understood the standard Democratic combo of support for abortion and yet opposition to the death penalty. Surely it is the guilty rather than the innocent who deserve execution?” she said.
