If Mr. Geraghty’s conclusions are true re Obama and the acquisition and retention of power, then Americans unrequited love with the bipartisan hug fest must wait longer. This is coming down to tit for tat power brokering. Not good. If principles are so easily compromised by Obama then the RINO’s who jettisoned principles ought to be able to play this game. But, alas, they have been neutered by those with more chutzpah to hold power, lie their sorry asses off and smear the bloated RINO’s into submission. We are in a sorry state if all these manipulative techniques really have progressed from the Alinsky blueprint to a massive internal institutional revolution.

Rationed birth and life on the other end. Rationed liberty. We stand about watching the holes in the dike. To win is license to make wholesale changes to liberty? Is this the same degree of change that Bush-Cheney imposed via Congress and Executive Orders? I some how never noticed the slick changes to our liberty. Life seemed somewhat honored by that administration. I did not have a sense my future would be forever altered. Now, I watch the daily prop assault by Barrage Obama.

It is right before us, as anticipated. Redistribution, Euro Modeling, Muddling Statism destined to inefficient, bureaucratic drag. Waiting, poor communications, high costs, uncaring cogs, lines, take a number DMV BS.

RINO’s Have Lost Their Way Again (No Clarion Voice)

Republicans are ashamed of the 8 years of bumbling oration by George Bush. The aw shucks, lean on the lectern approach was unsettling. We have images of how we believe certain people (usually people of authority or priority) should look: a fat cop, a fat nurse, a fat soldier, a fat fire fighter assail the visual image or expectations of how someone should look. Add to the visual, a lack of verbal skills and we are quick to discount the person as ill prepared and not self disciplined enough to develop poise and bearing to provide us mental comfort…the look and sound like they know what the hell they are suppose to do. GW just didn’t look and sound competent. Appearance over substance? That is the trap. The American herd is apparently easily malleable to image v. substance, so the RINO’s need the slick image to counter the Left’s Clinton-Obama packaging. I partly agree and would offer what I want: not an actor, just a damn solid statesman’s persona with the ability to articulate Conservative values in a way that points to decisions and counters with principles that point the way toward solutions and how not to get into the fix we are in. Someone who can discuss Big Government, Individual Liberty and the Culture War. Conservatives have been able to discuss the dangers of Big Government. They have not been adept at reaching the populace on the Culture War. Missing is not only a solid group of Conservative speakers, but the bigger stumbling block…someway to counter the strangle hold of the msm…some way to get the message out through the propaganda machine unfiltered not to the choir, but to the unwashed…the beholden, the dependency class.  

In the meantime, the RINO’s want to find an equal to Obama. Understandable. But, you know the RINO’s want to also play the same manipulative game toward the populace. Too bad it has come to this. Sound bites, images, mental massaging, propaganda….on and on. We are all, well many of us, are looking for the person to lead us away from the Obamanation Machine. But, we better be damn sure toward what.

Happy Mother’s Day & Life’s Conundrum

First, bless them and cherish them. Do not taken them for granted. Do not treat them as chattel or servants nor demean them in front of son and daughters.  The mother is an amazing woman. Nothing, not even fatherhood, is quite like the essence of a good mother.

And, then this birth thing and when life begins. An intrusive question for a woman’s right to choose not to be a mother.

The truth is still there. Did you call your Mom today? Did you see her? Did you go late last night or early this morning to sort through the rummaged over cards? Did you write some half assed words to the woman who gave you life? For good or not so good, she gave you life and raised you for what purpose? Condoning cheap death?

As a Catholic, I have long ago become disappointed by the weekly ‘community’ socialist drivel. Apparently, Jesus was a Socialist…how convenient for the well intentioned Liberal. So, an alternative is needed to serve, provide non-government care for your fellow man, BUT not with the group speak rhetoric that has infected the churches: first there was folk music mass, then the ‘children’, then larger issues beyond saving my soul. How about let’s get back to affirmation in saving my sorry soul and helping my family and neighbor…?

I don’t know if is is Conservative based or not. I imagine fundamentalist Baptist would vote for a Bush over a Kerry or McCain over Obama? But this uptight nonsense is one reason religion is viewed as obnoxiously oppressive, whether Islam or Baptist. It is the crux of Conservatism’s rejection by voters. PC Humanism v. the Church. Both obnoxious, stifling and demanding silly conformity. Where is a Moderate when you need one.  Hey, I get ‘freaking’ and the like. But, if you raised a good little Baptist or Catholic or Muslim they will withstand temptations…..usually.

Calculating to a fault. Decisions made for affect, not upon a obvious wrong, but upon the citizenry. The seriously simple to assess sea-jacking event demonstrates the absurdity of sissy’s overseeing men with guns.   These are the high principles of boys raised by soccer mom’s or Franklin Marshall. No amount of msm prop. overload by the Obama angle players negates the comtempt someone with Cowboy Values has for well spoken men who wear panties.
