Mark Steyn Is Depressing Me (PC Absurdities Growing, and We Doze)
Some blogs are so high on Mark Steyn. I try to be but here is the stumbling point for me: I don’t think I have the mental fortitude to daily read Steyn’s remarks about the already berserk PC dogma rampant around Europe, Canada and, of course, increasingly here.
His wit aside, Steyn is scaring the hell out of me. There is no ability, any more, to laugh at the absurdities of Euro demise, because now I think we are destined for even more absurdities. The thought of this is depressing. I do not see nor envision anyone right now to lead us out of this mess. I do not see anyway to not ever increasingly become pissed off at our neutered status.
I need to see that the Steyn’s are making a dent in the minds of the non-choir. I desperately need to see something principled and non-cliche. The worst thing I can see in the debate of ideals is for the Right to adopt the same tired, simplistic trigger words to manipulate the masses… make the words into complete sentences and make them linked to valid ideals not emotions. I am disgusted with the simplistic ways of viewing life by Americans. I am enormously disgusted with the mind games strategists employ to propagandize us….this is sick….deadly sick. People will get hurt, liberty will be trampled with this manipulation…far greater than any nationalistic flag waving by RINO’s.
I am, of course, thanking the Good Lord above for Mark Steyn. I just hope I have the strength to walk thru the mental muck.

I think the manipulated rather than the assessed will jump into a mess against their better judgment. These days we are not raising people to use their better judgement are we? Obama & Democrat Arrogance (Empowered by the Ill Informed)
Consider Bush or Cheney carrying on as Obama and Associates have. The arrogance of Obama was not there…only the certainty to act on terrorism and call out the bad guys. I imagine from a Leftist point of view the sacred cows were being shot in the pasture on a daily basis. Now our pasture is under assault and there is no farmer with a shotgun to ward off the wolves. (boy that is good imagery, huh?)
Now the shoe is on the other foot and Obama’s behavior is insulting and provocative on a daily basis. No mistakes here. Intentional assault on every front, calculated to innundate and wear down. Military, Foreign Affairs, Ecobot Rhetoric, Economy, Cap n Trade, Race, Speech………on and on the assault goes on and the push back needs to be hard and fierce and the retaliation and name calling will continue toward the Right. The War is waged. The War for Liberty. No time for timidity and every Congressman that has any courage better respond or be held accountable some day.
Obama is a Leftist, obviously not a Centrist …he is a poser and his confidence is fueled by a machine that is reassuring him that he can push this a long ways. There is not checks to this because of our system…all manner of laws and expenses can be incurred and no checks. I imagine the Left was just as frustrated as we marched into war and their Party sat by and did nothing…now the RINO’s do nothing and probably can do little.
The rage is building and the Lunatic Fringe name calling inflicted on the Wingnut Left will no doubt befall upon the Right as we sputter in rage over this system abuser the ill informed helped the Left put into office.
Images, Cliches, Repetition have overcome History, Depth of Thought and Substance. Is this the future…sound bites, imagery, manipulation, propaganda, emotional tweaking??? Is that all there is to gaining power and then annihilating a system, a culture? Where does democratic self defense play out in this…? The Republican Party appears to have few men and women of character and articulable values right now…old rhetoric, perhaps still correct, needs a new look and new voices…

Far Right Thugs and Crime Increase in Germany
Economic conditions similar to 20″ and 30′s are breeding ground for ‘Far Right’ thugs and flash back to Nazi’s of old….so says Interior Minister of Germany. Well, you think they would have a handle on how to mount a Nazi offensive and turn the world upside down. Of course, the Socialist rant about the economy was the key to taking the discontented and steering them toward Fascistic movement….a decidedly Socialist movement. Although the noise the Far Right makes is pronounced and unsettling to the current Euro mentality, I wonder how much marginalization efforts are going on in Germany just like here to call Conservative or Right side comments as Nazi, Extreme, Dangerous. Perhaps they, the Neo Nazi’s are violent….perhaps not. Maybe someone else can expound on the reality there beyond the economic chaos?

“I feel sorry for the captured pirate, Muse. He is just a teenager who comes from a ravished land with no laws. His level of poverty is like nothing any average American can even imagine. Yes, they say he was brazen on board the ship, but he is a confused teenager.
The West ripped off Somalia by poaching and depleting their fishing waters and moreover, dumping nuclar waste in the waters! A horrible crime inflicted against the Somalis: a fishing based culture! The U.N. ignored their cries for help and assistance. They were backed into a corner, and they must survive some way. You’d do it too; let the teenager off with rehabilitation.
Let’s enter a dialogue with Somalia in a way that makes sense. Nope, we cannot conquer them and should not even attempt this. Somalis cannot be goverened, really, as they are derived from nomadic peoples.
There is no working government as of now. So, for now, let the pirates go, insurance pays the ransom. It only ads a few cents per item. They need a livelihood. I am sure the pirated loot of wealth gets spread around a lot more than in our culture of greed. We need a long term solution for Somalia. We shall work it out, but we must accept responsibility for how we have in part, created the Somalia that exists that generated the pirates.
