What a topsy turvy world we live in. Obvious associations or alliances that should cause Obama to be rejected are now acceptable and indicative of the comfort Americans have with 70’s radicalism and how far it has infiltrated and settled into the media, educational fabric (no surprise there), Democrat Party and American view of normalcy. The Left is terrified of Evangelicals forcing doctrine onto the system yet aggressively promote a candidate embedded in black, revolutionary theocracy. Well, these extremes are good. They would normally allow the populace to eventually see what comes of their freedoms with these alliances in place and making decisions. However, this time around, the consequences are going to be devastating to our system and not so easily altered or dismantled once instituted. Also, I suspect there will be no blatant rush on many policy changes so as to lull the populace into a ‘this isn’t so bad’ attitude. If moderate to conservative Democrats don’t resist their party’s Regressive slide into Leftism then the rest of us are in sad shape. If Republicans have no voice or any sense of principle anymore then we are, indeed, in trouble.
New voices able to articulate principles must emerge. Those principles must be strong, but not dominated by abortion, gays, religion or war. Underpinnings of morality based upon Christianity are fine. But, a day must come when Conservatism realizes Liberty trumps Religion as the guiding principle. Honest concern for your fellow man trumps greed hiding behind Capitalism. If Capitalism is so worthy then it better work to give true equal opportunity and access. And, if taxation is the stifling influence to freedom, growth and opportunity, then Conservatives and Moderates must better articulate by examples why taxing the rich is bad for growth and opportunity. Does 2+2=4 seem so obvious it does not need further explanation? Why does the Left get away ignoring that simple equation? Something is missing in explaining all this to Americans and because of that, the Left gets away with Class Envy arguments. If the economic system is stacked then perhaps Conservatives need to better argue for change of their vaunted Capitalism. Something is amiss here. Conservatives seem powerless to argue against Class Envy, Greed, Taxation. Why? Perhaps the fat cats blink and lose advantage because there is something to these attacks? True Conservatives must LOUDLY argue and NEVER get caught in hypocrisy or double standards (another reason to jettison the smothering religious pontifications). Seriously, if another Republicans gets caught in a Mahoney-Spitzer-Foley moment, they should be castrated, flogged and sent to a penal colony on Palmira Island. So done with religious hypocrisy.
So, Conservatives a collective voice needs to emerge that can kick ass against the ilk that intend to alter the fabric of this country. The hate and contempt that generates the Left and the msm is going to be the barometer of how strongly altered your free speech will be…remember, tribunals, commissions, hearings, CHANGE.
